Pricing & Billing
ART uses a subscription-based pricing model where each workspace is assigned a subscription plan with predefined resource quotas and operational limits for a monthly billing cycle. Each workspace in ART is treated as an independent tenant and maintains its own subscription plan, quotas, and usage limits.
When a new workspace is created, it is automatically subscribed to the Sandbox plan. The Sandbox plan is free for lifetime usage and is intended for development, testing, and low-scale applications. Users can upgrade their workspace subscription at any time based on application requirements.
If a workspace exhausts its allocated usage limits before the billing cycle renews, additional usage capacity can be extended by purchasing add-ons. Add-ons and quota extensions are explained in detail in the Add-ons section.
The following subscription plans are currently available:
| Plan Name | Sandbox | Starter | Business | Professional |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Price | Free | ₹1,499 | ₹15,999 | ₹31,999 |

Included Features and Usage Limits
Each subscription plan includes predefined platform limits and operational quotas. These limits are designed to ensure platform stability, predictable resource allocation, and fair usage across all tenants.
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Concurrent connections | Maximum number of active simultaneous websocket connection users |
| Connection minutes | Aggregation of active time of all the users under all the channel of a workspace |
| Messages per day | Total number of messages pushed through the websocket connection in 24hours |
| Message per second | Number of messages pushed through websocket per second per channel |
| Message size limit | Maximum size of a message that can be pushed through the socket |
| Channel creation limit | Number of channels that can be created for each channel type (except for the shared object channel) |
| Shared object creation limit | Number of shared object channels allowed for a workspace |
| Presence member limit for channel | Maximum number of simultaneously online members supported within a subscribed channel |
| Project creation limit | Maximum number of projects allowed within a workspace |
To maintain platform reliability and protect against unintentional overconsumption or abusive usage patterns, ART enforces subscription-specific usage limits. Applications exceeding these limits may experience temporary restrictions, or resource creation failures until usage returns within the allowed thresholds.

Add-ons become active immediately after successful payment and the updated quotas or limits are applied to the workspace without requiring service interruption or workspace restart.
Add-on Billing and Renewal
Add-ons purchased during an active billing cycle are billed using prorated pricing based on the remaining duration of the current billing period. The add-on cost is automatically calculated according to the number of days remaining until the next subscription renewal date.
For example, if an add-on is purchased halfway through the billing cycle, only the prorated amount for the remaining billing duration is charged.
All active add-ons are configured to renew automatically together with the base subscription plan unless explicitly cancelled before the renewal date.
If an add-on is cancelled, the cancellation takes effect from the next billing cycle and the associated extended quotas or limits are removed during the next renewal.
Billing
All ART subscriptions operate on a prepaid monthly billing cycle. The subscription charge for a workspace is billed on the date the plan is initially purchased, and subsequent renewals occur automatically on the same calendar date each month.
For example, if a subscription is purchased on 21 May, the next renewal will occur on 21 June.
All active add-ons associated with the workspace are automatically renewed together with the base subscription plan unless explicitly removed before the renewal date.
The renewal invoice includes:
- Base subscription plan charges
- Active add-on charges
- Applicable taxes
Add-ons and plan upgrades purchased during an active billing cycle are billed using prorated pricing based on the remaining duration of the current billing period.
Plan Renewal
All ART subscriptions are configured for automatic renewal by default to ensure uninterrupted platform access and service continuity.
At the end of each billing cycle, ART automatically attempts to renew the subscription using the default payment method associated with the workspace account.
If the renewal payment is processed successfully:
- The subscription is renewed for the next billing cycle
- All active add-ons are renewed automatically
- Workspace quotas and limits are refreshed according to the active subscription plan
Grace period
If the renewal payment cannot be processed successfully, the workspace enters a 7-day grace period. During the grace period:
- Existing services remain accessible
- Pending invoices can still be paid
- Subscription renewal can be completed without service interruption
If payment is not completed within the grace period, the workspace subscription is automatically downgraded to the Sandbox plan.
Once downgraded, all workspace quotas and limits are adjusted according to Sandbox plan allocations. If the existing resource count exceeds Sandbox limits, ART automatically retains the oldest eligible resources within the allowed limits and suspends the newer resources exceeding those limits.
For example, if the Sandbox plan allows only one project and the workspace currently contains five projects, the oldest project remains active while the remaining newer projects are automatically suspended.
Suspended resources remain inaccessible until:
- the subscription is renewed,
- the workspace is upgraded to a higher plan,
- or the excess resources are manually deleted to comply with the new limits.
To avoid service disruption, ensure that your payment information is up to date and that you have sufficient funds available for the renewal charge before the billing cycle ends.
Plan Upgrades & Downgrades
Plan Upgrade
Workspace subscriptions can be upgraded at any time during an active billing cycle.
When a subscription is upgraded:
- The upgraded plan becomes active, and updated quotas and limits are applied immediately
- The remaining unused value of the current subscription is automatically calculated as prorated credit
- The prorated credit is deducted from the upgraded plan charge
Formula for Upgrade Cost:
Upgrade Cost = Upgraded Plan Price − Prorated Remaining Value of Current Plan
Upgrading a subscription starts a new billing cycle immediately. The next renewal date is recalculated based on the upgrade purchase date.
Plan Downgrade
Workspace subscriptions can also be downgraded to a lower plan.
If a downgrade request is made during an active billing cycle, the downgraded plan does not become active immediately. Instead, the current subscription remains active until the end of the existing billing cycle, and the downgraded plan is automatically applied from the next renewal date.
This ensures uninterrupted access to the currently subscribed plan and avoids immediate quota reductions during the active billing period.
You need to manually remove the additioanl resources created to comply with the downgraded plan limits before the transition
Any addons purchased for the current plan in the current billing cycle will continue to be in use for the downgraded plan unless cancelled. If ignored this my result in unwanted additional cost for the addons purchase.
